I specialise in 2D Animation, Visual Development and have a passion for telling stories. I work primarily in TvPaint, the Adobe Suite, and enjoy working collaboratively in a fast paced environment. During my time at NUA, I worked on live client briefs for BBC Radio 4, Mustard TV and CinemaPlus. In 2016 I was part of the 2D animation team for a Channel 4 Random Acts short film ‘Panoramic’ and in May 2017 I interned at Lambda Films, producing content for their social media channels.
My animation often focuses on issues and topics that are important to me and I strive to make content that is visually striking. My graduation film ‘Rule Number Three’ was inspired by my love of fantasy, fairy tales and explores the relationship between a young girl and her grandmother. ‘Weirdmations’, a collaborative effort between six 2D animators produced films such as ‘Fears’, which I directed, ‘Kings and Queens’ and ‘Advertising’ which I made contributions to. ‘Weirdmations’ was used to reveal the strange way a creative mind works.
I directed the theme of ‘Fears’ as a way to highlight both the normal and irrational, working with a limited colour palette to create unity and explore how sound could change the tone and tension in a piece.
